Inclusive entertainment

Accessibility Statement

EthioPlay aims to make entertainment and service information usable across abilities, devices, languages and connection conditions.

Effective 1 September 2026 · English version

We are working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA for the public website and will test key journeys with keyboard navigation, screen readers, zoom, reduced motion, high contrast and mobile assistive technology.

  • Semantic headings, labels, focus visibility and keyboard-operable controls.
  • Captions, subtitles, transcripts and audio description where supplied or licensed.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful imagery and clear identification of decorative content.
  • Support for zoom, responsive reflow, reduced motion and sufficient color contrast.
  • Language identification and understandable instructions across supported local languages.
  • Low-bandwidth modes, audio fallback and device compatibility information.

Some illustrative catalog artwork, third-party live programming and partner-supplied metadata may not yet include complete captions, descriptions or transcripts. Availability will be identified at title level before launch rather than assumed.

Report an accessibility barrier through Contact using the accessibility topic. Include the page, device, browser, assistive technology and the difficulty encountered. We will acknowledge the report and provide a reasonable alternative where possible.

These public policies are an operational draft informed by Ethiopian law. They must be reviewed by qualified Ethiopian counsel and updated with the final licensed operator identity, registrations, regulator details, product rules and processing operations before commercial launch.
